Color Matching

Every color is verified in a standardized matching booth under five calibrated light sources daylight, cool white, point of sale, domestic tungsten and UV so your tartan holds its true shade wherever it's worn.
GSM Testing
Fabric weight is the single most reliable measure of quality in a kilt. We test every batch rather than trusting the label.
Every batch is weight-tested — a 100 cm² disc cut and weighed to confirm true gsm across tartan wool, poly-viscose and cotton. A kilt sold as 16 oz measures 16 oz.
Yarn Dyeing
Only publish the ISO grades if your mill's certificates actually show them invented test figures are worse than no figures.
And I've kept "holds through repeated washing" instead of "100% never fades," since an absolute claim isn't defensible under UK trading regulations once a kilt sun fades a few years in.
Weaving Machines
Dyed yarn beamed and threaded to the exact sett. Warp hand checked across full width before the loom runs

Final Inspection
